Malic Acid and Tartaric Acid
They are two alpha-hydroxy acids found in fruit – Tartaric Acid in particular in grapes – which work in synergy: they decrease the adhesion between the corneocytes, thin the horny layer (stratum corneum) and, facilitating the rapid elimination of the pigmented corneocytes, they guarantee a pleasant natural lightening effect on blemishes and discoloration (dyschromia).
